Don’t Be Manipulated!

It is important to start thinking with the heart, as opposed to, thinking with the brain to know how to make decisions.

Always ask yourself, “What makes me happy?”.

When we think with our minds, we need to filter through all the thoughts and opinions that we have ever been exposed to. Just imagine your mind as a murky sea of thoughts, thousands of them traveling aimlessly in different directions. How can you come to a clear decision with all that confusion in your mind?

But when feeling with your heart, you will feel either an expansion or a contraction with every question asked.

At the time of our birth, we come into our bodies with no judgements about anything except for physical discomfort or pleasure. Like a sponge, we start soaking up other people’s judgements, ideas and opinions, and personalize them. These are the concepts that we need to release and let go of.

In our society, we are continually bombarded with manipulative advertising and propaganda (disguised as “The Nightly News”), to influence the way we think and behave.

Fear is our greatest enemy. Fear is used to sell products and services, as well as, controlling us, so that we conform to be a passive society.

Most major corporations are run to make huge profits at our expense ( literally and figuratively ). We must become aware of the incredible deception that keep us away from our spiritual legacy and stay submerged in perpetual debt.

We will only find personal freedom if we break the chains of this thought and outside manipulation.

Joy

Lately, I have been taken by surprise by an overwhelming feeling of joy that overtakes my body. It didn’t happen because I have just met the love of my life or that I have just won the lottery. At first, I would just observe it and make a judgment like “I must be losing my mind!”, because these moments happen when I’m usually doing something mundane, like the laundry or washing the dishes.

I have realized that as our vibration reaches higher levels, we are given glimpses of another way of being. Joy happens to be our natural state of being. We are spiritual beings of joy.

If you have ever read Louise Hays’ book “Heal Your Body”, you will understand that most dis-ease that our bodies develop comes from a lack of joy in our Being. Not being in joy conflicts and disrupts with our natural state of being.

I was giving a session with a client who was getting ready to move to another city and was having trouble renting out her house. She exclaimed “ I’m tired of having to earn everything in my life”. Basically, she saw everything in her life as a struggle (another good example of “ a belief”). Recognizing this, I said to her, instead of seeing this as a struggle, find the “joy” in where you are going. Find the “joy” in finding the right person to rent your house.

Just this shift in our perspective can change how we view a situation (from bad to good), and the belief that timing is everything, helps us to have trust and not try to force what we want to happen.

Be sensitive to the signs and omens. Ride the wave with zero resistance. Stay in the moment as this lifts you up and gently lets you back down and then back up again. Acquiescence allows what you desire and intention to manifest. Have patience with joy. In Shamanism, the rabbit totem teaches you to know when to sit patiently and to know when to run.

Personally, If I want to create a change in my life, I will allow it no more that three attempts at it. If it doesn’t work, then I change my approach and try it again. We are co-creators, so be creative.

Don’t be afraid to tap into your creative self to come up with a solution.

When I was in my early twenties, I would read the biographies of very successful people. Every time I finished a book, I would try what the person did to become successful. Of course, none of those methods worked for me. What is one person’s path will not be another’s.

A few years later, I started following my intuition and my heart and my life became more successful. I realized that each of these people whose biographies I had read, had also done the same thing – They dared to follow their “gut” and succeeded.

When you follow your heart, how could you not feel joy? You do, because you are in the flow. When you have awareness you have joy. When you are doing what you really want to do, you have joy.
